Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data is processed in connection with Nudget, for what purpose and on what legal basis — under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG / FADP).
1. The essentials first
Nudget is an offline-first app: all budget, category, transaction and goal data is stored exclusively on your device. There is no user account and no server that receives or stores your financial data. As the operator, we have no access to the content you record in the app. Backups are files you create and manage yourself.
We therefore process personal data essentially only where you actively provide it to us — for example via the waitlist on this website.

3. Data processed by the app
- Local budget data. Income, categories, transactions, savings goals and settings are stored only on the device (a local database). They do not leave the device and are not transmitted to us.
- Local reminders. Nudges (e.g. the end-of-day check-in, goal reminders) are scheduled and triggered entirely locally on the device. No data is sent to us in the process.
- No analytics, no tracking. The app contains no advertising or analytics tools and builds no usage profiles.
4. Data processed by this website
- Waitlist (email address). If you sign up for the launch notification, we store the email address you provide in order to notify you once, when Nudget becomes available. Providing it is voluntary.
- Server logs. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider may record standard log data for technical reasons (e.g. IP address, timestamp, the resource requested) — to deliver the page, for security, and for error analysis.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We process the waitlist email address on the basis of your consent, in order to inform you about the launch. We process technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website. No processing of sensitive personal data takes place.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies and embeds no tracking, advertising or analytics services.
7. Disclosure and third parties
We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising purposes. Processing by third parties takes place only where it is necessary for operation:
- Hosting. The website runs with a hosting provider that stores the data on our behalf.
- Email / waitlist service. An email service provider may be used to manage the waitlist and send the launch notification, processing the email addresses on our behalf.
8. Retention
We keep waitlist email addresses until the launch and the one-time notification; afterwards, or at your request, they are deleted. You can unsubscribe at any time. Data stored in the app remains on your device until you delete it there or uninstall the app.
9. Data security
The website is delivered over HTTPS. Because your budget data stays locally on the device, its protection rests largely on device security (screen lock, device encryption). Despite appropriate measures, no transmission over the internet can be entirely secure.
10. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access the data processed about you, as well as to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and you may object to processing. To do so, contact hello@nudget.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy if the service or the legal framework changes. The version published here at any given time applies.
